Two years ago almost to the day I set my eyes on something so big that I had literally no idea HOW I would ever be able to do it. There were many times when I wanted to give up because it got too hard or I came up against seemingly insurmountable obstacles.
There were days when I doubted, days when the fear got so overwhelming that it paralyzed my every move. The reason I did not give up was because of a mentor who believed that I could do it.
Today I’m celebrating because I’ve achieved my big goal to follow my heart and move to Mexico.
You know when they say “Thoughts become things.”
This is a powerful TRUTH.
But here is the thing: a lot of people believe they can just think those thoughts, do their affirmations and their reality magically changes. And then they wonder why their results are not manifesting.
You have to actually do the work, you have to spend the money, you have to acquire the skills and do whatever is takes CONSISTENTLY to get you there.
You see, you have to meet the Universe halfway and there are NO SHORTCUTS to success.
For me it took two years, because there were times when I wavered instead of steering the course, there were times when the fear got the best of me and I just stopped and started questioning and doubting.
In year one nothing much happened, until I started working with a mentor on shifting my mindset, shifting my THINKING around the problems and obstacles I was experiencing.
I learned that if the problem was there, the solution must also be there.
I was just not looking at it the right way and there were certain things I simply was not willing to do but they are required in order to be successful.
And there was one other thing. I needed to develop my FAITH muscle because it was nonexistent. You see I am like most of us wired in a way that I needed to feel safe and secure and for me to take a leap of faith and just jump was simply not in the cards.
I asked my mentor about this.
I said: “Why can’t I make the money first and then quit my job.“
He said: “You don’t need to make the money right now.“
I said: “What do you mean? Of course, I do.”
He said: “No. There is no need for you making this money right now because you have a steady pay check coming in anything on top of that is icing on the cake, so you have NO URGENCY to go out there and make the money.“
When I finally mustered up the courage to walk into my boss’s office and say the magic sentence:
I’ve made a decision to leave the company
the urgency was there, and I showed the Universe that I meant business and low and behold as if to affirm it was the right decision, within two days I signed a high-end client.
I met the Universe half way.
It’s in this type of situation when you need a mentor the most, not to hold you accountable but to hold the truth in front of you like a shining beacon of light so you can make a conscious choice.
I wanted to share this with you transparently in hopes it will inspire you to go after you dreams full force. The desire you feel burning in your heart is guiding you towards your life purpose.
Heed the call and trust that you are supported all the way.
