I hit me this week that some of the most painful experiences of my life have also been the ones that had the greatest gifts wrapped inside of them.

I, of course, didn’t see it like that at the time.
I remember when I was going through my divorce, I was at my mom’s house and she’d tell me:

“Honey, there’s a light at the end of the tunnel!”

I was so focused on the pain that in my mind I thought yes, that’s just a thing people say in these types of situations to make you feel better.

Little did I know, she was right.

After the emotional fog cleared and as I started to work on myself, I gradually came to see the great GIFT my ex-husband had given me.

He set me free to embark on the path that I’m currently on.

Fast forward 8 years…

I’m out at dinner last weekend.
We’re having a lovely conversation when I see a person walk up to the restaurant who looked vaguely familiar.

As he approached I realized who it was.

Somebody who played a pretty big part in my life at one point.

We hadn’t crossed paths in four years until that evening.

Then the most incredible thing happened…

The person walks right by my table and didn’t recognize me even though we came face to face.

Then it hit me.

The Universe works in an orderly way and it does have

its own sense of humor.

We’re not on the same wavelength anymore.

I’m not the person I was 4 years ago.

I changed on the inside and that is reflected on the outside.

Of course, that’s why he didn’t recognize me.

You probably guessed it, things hadn’t ended well and YET there was another big GIFT in the pain.

Six years ago this person had told me how reading one of Tony Robbins’ books changed his mother’s life forever.

I got the book and I read it.

I started working with coaches and I became a coach myself.

You see, the GIFT again was to take me down another step on this path and for that, I’m very grateful.

If you’re going through a very rough time of loss and grief at this moment this message is for you.

No matter how painful your experience is right now, TRUST that the gift will be revealed to you.

One of the lessons is to learn how to deal with the pain, to not numb it but to experience it and let those feelings wash over you so that you can process them and get them out of your system.

Once that is done you will be able to see the gift over time.

Everything happens FOR you not to you, meaning everything happens for your greater good ultimately.

It’s a lesson from Spirit.

I felt it in my heart to share this message with you today.

Be well, know that there is light at the end of the tunnel even in the darkest of times.

After it rains the sun will come out again.

With love,

Simona

PS: Maybe this is not you today, maybe it’s somebody you know and if you think this message would benefit them, feel free to share it with them.
