That day I said NO to Paris changed my life but, I didn’t know it back then. A couple of scary things had to happen before…

You see, life is all about choices. You get to choose every single moment what you participate in. That includes the things you resist.

Your breakthrough is on the other side of that resistance.

And sometimes you’ll experience a complete breakdown first…

I just shared this with a friend at brunch earlier today.

In 2015 I was supposed to go to an event in Paris and decided at the last minute to go to another event on the East Coast. Hard to believe I know…

My breakdown happened when I boarded the wrong plane in Los Angeles.

They actually let me on at the gate and after the ensuing confusion and a flight attendant asking me to get off again, about half an hour later, I still made it onto the right plane to get to my destination.

In my head I kept hearing that loud voice, my resistance, that was screaming at me:

“It’s not meant to be.

That plane is surely going down.

I should just stay home.

Why did I say NO to Paris…?”

I was about to have a meltdown as my mind kept racing into all kinds of disaster scenarios while we were delayed on the tarmac.

Long story short I made it and left this two-day event with a multiple five-figure financial commitment because I decided to invest in high-level mentorship.

It was scary because I had never spent this much money on myself but something inside me knew that I had to do it and that I was worthy of it.

On the other side of that experience was the breakthrough that led me to dissolve my life as a successful marketing executive working for a big Hollywood movie studio in Los Angeles to start my business and move to Mexico, completely reinventing myself in my second chapter.

While it hasn’t always been easy, I had to do a lot of things that were cringe-worthy uncomfortable to get to where I am today, this November 16th, I’m celebrating my 6th anniversary here and I have never looked back.

I know for sure that I AM in the right place doing what I am meant to be doing: helping other successful women over 40 radically reinvent themselves in their next chapter so that they can share their talents with the people who need them while living an amazing life and building a powerful legacy.

Never misinterpret a breakdown as a sign that something is not meant to be, instead, look at it as an opportunity to grow and trust the unknown because on the other side of your breakdown, is your breakthrough.

What are you resisting?

I’m leaving you a helpful resource HERE.
