STOP IT seriously, because playing small does not serve you nor the people you are meant to be serving. You came here to BE more and DO more, to make an impact in the world that reaches far beyond your physical presence and leaves a legacy.
All of us were put here with a purpose and to fulfill it, that is our mission in this lifetime. I settled for 15 years in a loveless marriage because I was afraid of “what the people would think, if I returned back home with my tail between my legs“.
So, I stayed, tried my best to make it work and in the end when it didn’t, I was devastated to the point that I asked God to not make me wake up in the morning because I did not think I could take the pain another day.
What I was really doing was being a VICTIM. I did not accept PERSONAL RESPONSIBLITY because I could have left this unhappy marriage years ago, yet I settled, because it provided me with safety and financial stability BUT at a high cost.
I self-abandoned to mold myself into the person I thought I needed to be to make it work and when it finally dissolved, I did not even recognize who I was anymore and I had to put the pieces of me back together.
It wasn’t easy to crawl out of the darkness, to get off the couch where I was wallowing in self-pity, but when the fog finally lifted I promised myself I would never settle again.
Not in a relationship, not in a job, not in friendships, not in business…. I started claiming my LIFE, knowing that I’m the creator of my Universe and I started taking responsibility for it.
This is how my path started unfolding and I would get glimpses of my purpose until a vision started emerging.
If you have a calling deep down inside of you, WHY ARE YOU WAITING?
Why are you telling yourself it’s not the right time?
Why are you telling yourself you can’t do it?
You don’t have the money,
You are not good enough,
or who are you to do this?
You have the calling, that is an indication that all you need to fulfill it is RIGHT here. The time, the money, the resources, the skills, the confidence… EVERYTHING YOU NEED is already here and it is here NOW.
Don’t be like me and settle for 15 years.
