Picture this for a moment: When you are scrolling through your Facebook news feed what is it that makes you stop in your tracks?  For me it is a visual that is standing out. I stop because I am intrigued and want to learn more, find out what is it all about.

Do you agree with me that it’s a busy world out there?  We get bombarded with way too many messages every day. In fact we become overloaded and when that happens it is easy for the mind to tune them out. As if to protect itself from sensory overload.

I don’t know about you but personally I quickly scan to see if I should care or scroll on.  After the visual catches my attention, what keeps me interested is if the tagline speaks to me and holds the promise of an immediate and tangible benefit that helps me overcome something I am struggling with or addresses a need that I have.

Here is where the power of words comes into play.  If you find yourself in a crowded field with many players, make sure you do not use the same language everybody else is using. That is a surefire way to blend in.

Instead do a little brainstorming exercise. Look for different ways of conveying the same message, see what other words you can use that speak to your target audience in a powerful and memorable way.

What do I mean by that? Here is an example:

Build your list

Hmm, sounds a little lackluster, right?
Who is it for?
Why is it important?
In other words, why should I care?

5 powerful strategies to build your list with qualified leads

Now we are talking! See the shift in energy between the first and the second example?  It speaks directly to a specific audience and the benefit is clear right off the bat. Show me a coach that does not want to have an engaged list of qualified leads.

To stand out from the crowd use YOUR OWN powerful words in your message.  Words that carry weight, command attention and succinctly communicate a “hook” that draws your audience in and wets their appetite to learn more.

Invest time to really think through what that is for your business. Brainstorm, get creative and sprinkle in some of your personality to put YOUR unique touch on it, that special flavor only you can add.  It will pay off.

Try it and let me know how it goes!

Much love,

Simona
