Getting close to the finishing line only to find that things are getting harder?
You would think the closer you get to your goal the easier it gets as you can almost touch it with your fingertips. There it is right in front of you and yet all over sudden there are a bunch of almost insurmountable road blocks in your way that seem to make it impossible for you to get to the end zone.
It’s happening right at this very moment for me. I have wanted something for two years now and I’m finally really close to getting it after having done all the inner work to diligently remove excuses, limiting beliefs and tame those gremlins that are up in arms at me veering out of my comfort zone and stretching into unfamiliar territory.
Circumstances seemingly beyond my control are showing up that would make it so easy for me to say “Ok I tried, it wasn’t meant to be,.. oh, well let’s go home on this one“.
WRONG!
First of all it’s not over till it’s over.
Second, no settling for less – EVER AGAIN!
Third, I don’t need to figure out the HOW, that’s Spirit’s job
But what I do have to do is keep going. I CANNOT QUIT.
You see,
QUITTING IS NEVER AN OPTION, in life and in business
We all fail at something at one point or another. Something does not pan out like we had planned or in the the time frame we had planned. Whether it’s in a relationship, our business or life in general.
When that happens you can cry, you can scream, you can get angry, you can throw a tantrum but what you CANNOT DO is QUIT.
You see quitting is the ULTIMATE FAILURE. When you quit your dream dies and with it everything that you’ve worked so hard for. All the time and effort you put into it that you can never get back.
THAT IS WHY YOU CANNOT QUIT – EVER!
Instead ask yourself the better question:
What can I do differently to get my desired outcome?
Is there anything that I am not willing to do to get what I want?
Maybe I need to spend more money
Maybe I need to learn more skills
Maybe I need to hire a mentor who can help me
Maybe I need to pick up the phone and make one more call
Maybe I need to speak to one more person
Maybe I need to re-evaluate, have another go at it and prepare better,…
Whatever it is, you have to assume 100% responsibility for what is happening in your life at all times. There are no victims. We are all participants in our life and we are responsible for what we attract.
When you get clear on this, when you embrace failure as a teacher and keep moving forward in the direction of your goal with the learnings, that is when you’ll break through to the other side.
