I’m sure you’ve heard about this amazing movie that has been nominated for 10 Academy Awards.
What you might or might not know about me was that in my previous career at Sony Pictures, I was working with the folks who made this film…

And one of the things that most impressed me is the incredible amount of dedication and attention to detail a filmmaker like Quentin Tarantino brings to his craft, meticulously reimagining a world and bringing it to life as documented in this featurette

(If you’re a movie buff it’s well worth the time to watch.)

What does this have to do with entrepreneurship or you stepping into your next chapter?

The same level of dedication and attention to detail is required for you to succeed.

And most of that work that you’re going to be doing is on the inside and that’s by far the harder part.
We grow from the inside out, so to get the success you desire you must change who you are being.

That can mean overcoming a lot of obstacles for a person apart from the big learning curve of mastering things you’ve never done before like marketing and sales.

One of the most common obstacles I see in my practice is a fear of being seen and taking a stand for a position because this makes us vulnerable and exposes us to judgment.

Another common obstacle is the possibility of failing and having to admit that we’ve made a mistake and of course there are countless more…

BUT…

If you’re on the fence about stepping out, consider this:

The only time we ever have is NOW, this very moment where you can make a decision that will profoundly impact your life for the better.

There will always be a good reason as to why you can’t.

‘It’s not feeling good or right’, is one I often hear.

That is not an indication that you’re not meant to be going after what is calling you.

It’s a clear sign that you’re ready for MORE.

The reason it doesn’t ‘feel good’ is because going after what’s calling you means you have to step out of your comfort zone and that does ‘feel’ uncomfortable.

The real question is:
Why are you afraid of stepping into your greatness?

And what if tomorrow never comes?

Could you live with the regret of not having followed your soul’s calling?

What if … TODAY you started looking for all the reasons as to why you CAN?

What if Quentin Tarantino had decided to stick to being a video store clerk all his life and had not followed his passion?

You wouldn’t be able to enjoy the brilliance of his filmmaking.

When you’re not following what’s calling you, you’re withholding your great gift from those who need it.

You’re unwilling to step into your God-given purpose, and you are in essence saying NO to your Creator.

Think about that!
