“I am 45 years old and I feel I still haven’t found my path.”

This is an email I received last week from a former colleague in the corporate world.

I feel I haven’t accomplished anything special with my life,

she continued on…

Now, this woman is a highly successful executive who has been recognized by her peers for the award-winning marketing campaigns she’s developed and executed over the years. And she is an amazing mom to three beautiful children.

Yet, she feels she “hasn’t accomplished anything special with her life.”

What she is going through is often mislabeled in society as a midlife crisis.

That term is a marketing hook that we get sold on because obviously there must be something wrong with you if, as a successful woman over 40, you suddenly question your life…

And somebody is usually right there to sell you the cure.

Typically it comes in the form of a pill.

Nothing could be further from the truth.

That nagging feeling of

‘Is this it?’

or the

‘There has to be something more to life than this…’

that’s you WAKING UP to your purpose.

It’s a wake-up call from your soul letting you know that there is indeed more to life than checking the boxes that others have deemed to constitute success.

If you recognize yourself in this story, this is a clear indication that it’s time to dig up that beautiful diamond in the rough that we all carry inside, polish it, marvel at the magnitude of the purpose that it contains, and EMBRACE IT as your truth that…

This is where you are meant to be going next.

It’s the path beginning to reveal itself.

You see, for most of our life, we are chasing after things we believe we must have: the title, the promotion, the relationship, the status…

When we finally get there we are so busy keeping up with our demanding careers, raising our kids, and the everyday things that get thrown at us, that we don’t find the time to go within and explore WHAT that next thing is going to be.

Then for the first time in mid-life, when things have slowed down a bit and we are settled in comfortably, something happens that stops us in our tracks.

Sometimes it’s a painful jolt like

A divorce.

The loss of a loved one.

A layoff…

I hope that’s not the case for you.

But if it is, trust that you are never given more than you can handle and that

somewhere in this experience is a gift.

I was angry for 7 years after my divorce until I could see the gift I was given by my ex-husband.

This awakening is also almost always a radical departure from what you have been doing up until now.

It’ll challenge you and throw your status quo right out the window.

That’s why so many women never heed the call and stay inside the box of conformity, acceptance, and compliance, that they’ve learned to navigate so successfully over decades.

I get it. It has yielded you great financial rewards and professional recognition

and you know it like the back of your hand.

On the other hand, your calling, the purpose you’re meant to step into will rattle the very foundation of everything you have ever been taught as safe, secure, and ‘the right thing to do.’

But let me ask you this:

Could you live with the REGRET of not having even tried?

That’s the real crisis in my opinion.

Because there is a greatness inside you that you have only caught a glimpse of so far…

If you recognize yourself in this story, I have something very special coming up in March for a small, curated group of women who want to explore what that next

thing is and are excited to embark on a journey to pursue it.

You’ll have my guidance and one-on-one personal attention as well as the support of a like-minded sisterhood committed to lifting each other up and rising to new personal and professional heights.

If that sounds like you, and you want to accelerate your life and business this year, connect with me privately HERE.
