As we are getting ready to celebrate the holidays  with family and friends and see the year draw to a close it is a  good time to reflect. Look back of where you were at the beginning of the year. What were your goals, what did you accomplish, what are the wins you celebrated in you life and your business?

Take a moment to really honor and celebrate yourself for what you have achieved. Big or small, everything counts. You certainly are in a different spot than you were at the beginning of the year.

‘Tis the season to also properly take care of yourself, re-charge your batteries, nurture, refuel and replenish through practicing self-care rituals so that you can come out of the gate strong and well rested in the new year. Whatever that may be for you.

  • Get a massage.

  • Take a long walk on the beach or a stroll in a winter wonderland.

  • Fire up the chimney and curl up on the couch in your pjs with that book you have been wanting to read.

  • Taking a long, hot bubble bath.

  • Spending time with your loved ones,…

It is also a time to look ahead into the new year and start thinking about what’s next in your business, do some planning and prospecting.

The week between Christmas and New Year’s is a great time to set an agenda and goals for the coming year. Usually things slow down a little bit after Christmas Day and as you step away from your laptop, you might be surprised about the new clarity you find.

As entrepreneurs we sometimes get so caught up in living ‘behind the laptop’ that we don’t see the forest for the trees. It’s by stepping away and experiencing different things, being in community with others that new ideas start to emerge and take shape. Ask yourself this:

What is it that I want to accomplish in the first 90 days of the New Year?

My mentor used to tell me that big leaps are made in 90 day increments through setting S.M.A.R.T goals that are
  • Specific

  • Measurable

  • Achievable

  • Timely

What is it you would like to create? What is the vision you have for your business? Start jotting your goals down on paper and then begin to think about what needs to happen for you to get there. Once you have it, make a decision that you will not waiver on your quest to achieve your goal and then take the very first step in that direction. Map out a plan and start putting it into action.

Wishing you and your family a very merry, peaceful Christmas and Happy Holidays. May they be filled with joy, happiness and laughter.

Much love,

Simona
