The other night I went out to see the fabulous Donnna de Lory in concert. If you don’t know her, be sure to check her out. This woman is amazing. After touring with the one and only Madonna for close to twenty years Donna embarked on her own musical journey creating positive, spiritual and uplifting music. I was at the concert with a couple of friends, both coaches.

As we were  having a god time, one of my friends mentioned she had just done a webinar and NOBODY came on the call. A major bummer. We all know how much work goes into creating a webinar and how disheartening it can be if all your hard work does not pay off.

“What did you do to promote it?”, I asked and she said she was talking it up in Facebook groups.

Here is the thing. That is not enough. You got to have a solid strategy behind it and the best way to get traction when promoting your webinar are Facebook ads. Hands down!

Webinars are great moneymakers

for your business

,.. because you get to connect live and in person with your tribe and they get a first hand look of what it’s like to work with you. You are building TRUST and you show your expertise.

If you are getting ready for a webinar and want to know how you can fill it with prospects that are 100% interested in what you have to offer, here is the proven step-by-step formula I use. (By the way I learned this from Amy Porterfield.)

1. In the weeks leading up to your webinar, be present in groups where you tribe hangs out and provide value, tons of it. Help people out and make yourself known as the expert in your field.

2.Announce the webinar to your email list.

3.Start talking about the topic of your webinar in groups on appropriate days providing even more value and let people know what they can expect to learn.

4.Write a blog post or create a freebie that is related to the topic of your webinar and promote it with a Facebook ad. This way you are creating a warm audience that you can re-target with another ad later. (A super effective strategy.)

5.Create a Facebook cover image announcing the details of your webinar and don’t forget to include a link to your registration page in the DESCRIPTION field so people can actually click on it. (You got to make it easy for them.)

6.Put a link to your registration page into your Instagram profile and create posts that center around the topic. (Have your designer create a couple of images that you can use for your postings. Be sure to include the details time & date as well as clear instructions on how people can sign up (e.g. click the link in my profile to reserve your seat….)

8.Run a series of Facebook ads targeting a mix of warm and cold audiences in the week leading up to your webinar.

9.Create a kick-ass email sequence that conveys urgency to remind your tribe why they can’t miss it.

10. After your webinar, follow up with every single person that registered. This is critical. If you don’t do that you are missing out on sales,…

There is a lot of work that goes into a webinar and you are going to spend money on it. The most important thing is to have your peeps show up live so they get to know you and what working with you is going to be like.

Hot tip: Don’t’ mention that there will be replay even if you plan on sending it out. People typically don’t listen to them and are very much less likely to take the desired action. You want to create some urgency for your peeps to show up live and in person.

Much love,

Simona
