HOW DO I COME UP WITH ALL THIS CONTENT is a question I often hear from clients. Content creation can pose a challenge for many business owners but without sharing value consistently you are not in front of your potential clients and customers to build brand awareness.

Then, when they are ready to make a buying decision, I can guarantee you that they will buy from the guy that has been front and center and in their mind is the established expert.

Just think about it this way, when you are about to make a purchase, you are shopping around, you are comparing, and you are looking for value. The same way your potential clients and customers are checking out your social media profiles, and what others are saying about you, your product, and your website. You don’t want them to think that you have gone out of business because the last time you posted something was months ago. Yes, I know how that goes…

Not to speak of the fact that algorithms favor those who post often. Some social media platforms tell you upfront that they reward those who post consistently with increased visibility as in FREE advertising through media exposure that you earned.

So how can you solve the content creation conundrum and become the go-to expert for those who are ready to buy?

One simple word: PLAN

Identify WHO is your target audience, WHAT do they need, and HOW do you solve their problem. Then create impactful content around these topics.

Plan your month around the special events that you have coming up in your business or seasonal topics that you can tie in with (hint: Valentine’s is coming…)

Block out 2 hours for content creation once a month. A Saturday morning with a cup of coffee will do.

Auto-schedule your content to go live on a weekly or monthly basis to save time.

HOW TO COME UP WITH CONTENT IDEAS?

Slice, dice and repurpose so that you don’t have to constantly reinvent the wheel and store your posts in a content calendar, a digital repository that you can revisit.

1.    For example, ONE well-written blog post can be cut down into individual social media posts that will yield a week’s worth of content.

2.    Add that you can isolate a quote from said blog, post it on Twitter and do a screenshot. There is another piece of content.

3.    Do one video a week and break it down into written posts or expand on the idea.

4.    Create a webinar or educational video where you teach a skill related to your expertise and you have a plethora of content for weeks to come.

There, I just gave you some ideas of how you can easily manage your content creation so that you are ALWAYS in front of your customers as the go-to expert.

Visibility is key and with the right plan, it doesn’t need to be overwhelming.
