As I am packing up my life here in Los Angeles to move to Mexico lots of things are going through my mind. People are asking me “Are you moving because Trump won the election?“
Nothing could be further from the truth. I love and cherish this country because it has provided me with lots of opportunities. I came here in 1994 as an immigrant from Austria with a dream to work in the music industry. I made it happen.
From there I went on to work at a big Hollywood Studio having the privilege to market major blockbuster films and television shows worldwide.
This country has been incredibly generous to me. I became a citizen, voted in the first African American President and to tell you the truth I was shocked at the outcome of yesterday’s election.
However, this is a democracy and the people have spoken.That is to be respected even though I’m deeply saddened to see how divided we are. People taking to the streets to voice their disapproval.
Right now is the time to unify, to work together and to come together for the common good.
We are all in this together.
We all want to create a prosperous life for ourselves and our families.
We all want to leave a better world to our children.
And this is a country of immigrants, it was founded by immigrants.
We have to stand united and pull on the same string.
And the way to do this is through LOVE as Marianne Williamson so beautifully said in her address on election night.
We are not adversaries, we are one people and we have to build a bridge.
My heart is heavy today but at the same time I believe that we will rise to the occasion as a people.
And yes, ’tis the time where your gifts are needed more than ever to uplift the collective vibration.
So all you coaches, healers and change makers go out there, do the great work that you do, spread your message. Let it be heard and share your gifts freely.
The world needs you, now more than ever.
